Factions (Java Game)

Factions is a multiplayer arena fighting game, built by Tim Brown and Jan Smrcina. They programmed the game in Java while using the Slick2D game/graphics library and the KryoNet networking library. Below is the full description of their game as described by the game's ReadMe file:
Factions is a new type of networked RPG. The player assumes the role of a character with one of four possible classes: Fighter, Archer, Wizard, Monk. Each of these classes has unique and powerful abilities that will help them and their team win in the arena. Factions' gameplay centers around the idea of a "skill-shot" which requires the player to land nearly all spells directly on allies or enemies for them to take effect.
Factions is best played with friends and over a LAN. Ideally, the game is a 4 vs. 4 brawl but can still be enjoyed in 2 vs. 2 and 3 vs. 3.
